A Bahraini ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist at Almosawi Eye Specialist Center, where he serves as a Consultant in Glaucoma and Cataract Surgery.
He completed an International Glaucoma Fellowship at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), gaining advanced expertise in complex glaucoma management, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and combined cataract-glaucoma procedures.

With extensive surgical experience including Trabeculectomies, tube surgeries, over MIGS(Hydrus, iStent inject W, iStent Infinite, PreserFlo MicroShunt), and phacoemulsification including complex cases.

Dr. Maitham Kadhem integrates cutting-edge international practice with compassionate, patient-centered care. Driven by innovation and academic excellence, he has contributed to clinical research, surgical device design projects, and the development of departmental policies and procedures (DPPs) for glaucoma surgery and management, aligning them with American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) standards.
